Creating a Website That Sells! (2 hours)

How many people leave your website without picking up the phone and contacting you – or filling in a form for more information? Your website should be your active sales assistant working for you 24 hours a day. Most websites are merely informational in their content. Maximising Your Website Performance Using Google Analytics (2 hours)

This course is designed to help you take control of your website visitors and improve your website’s page rank. Stop visitors from leaving your site by understanding the basic factors that contribute to “bounce rate” and how to improve your site. Use the statistics to locate your customers, and use their search terms to improve your search engine rankings.

The first important point in running your own website is to understand what the search engines look for on your web pages. At the end of this session you will understand Meta tags, headings, keywords, the importance of page titles and more … all designed to attract the search engines and crank up your website position!

Off-site Webpage Optimisation (2 hours)

Another very important factor to increase your website’s page rank is off-site optimisation techniques. The search engines look for more than just what’s on your site – they look for other
sites that link to your site. If you’re getting the wrong site linking to your site your page rank can actually decrease … so it’s important that you know exactly how this works before you start an inbound linking strategy.

Creating and Maintaining Huge Subscriber Lists From Your Website (2 hours)

There’s a saying on the internet: “The money is in the list.” This course covers email marketing techniques that will enable you to have instant contact with people who are after your products and/or services. You will learn how to utilise both free and paid software platforms to legitimately collect name and email contact details from your website visitors. Using these lists you will learn how to apply business principles to increase your sales and keep your subscribers jumping on your offers whenever you broadcast to them.

Search Engine Marketing (2 hours)

Search Engine Marketing is one of the fastest ways to test your sales pages using Pay Per Click (PPC) Marketing techniques, available through Google Adwords or Microsoft’s Adcentre (Bing).

It can also be used to bring highly targeted traffic to your site, based on the keywords that people are searching for – especially if your site isn’t able to rank on the first page of the Search Engines.

In this two hour segment you will be equipped to open your own PPC account, find the right keywords for your campaign, understand the difference between Search and Content based campaigns, and use negative keywords to save you money in your budget.

While the focus will be on the popular Google Adwords, we will also be discussing Bing’s marketing program.
