Social media has taken over the internet.

And as an internet marketer I’ve had a lot of people ask me how to
use social media (not Twitter!) to get traffic and increase their page
rank.

There are literally hundreds of social media sites out there, all of
which have growing PAGE RANK – this which means good inbound
links from the Search Engines.

Plus, people actually do read the headlines on their favorite site, and
this means that having your site posted to a social bookmarking site
can draw the attention of potential new visitors to your site.

This is why I use social bookmarking sites, and it works well.

Now to take advantage of social media you could easily waste
hundreds of hours setting up accounts … and then there’s the
posting of your blog or news item, jumping through all the hoops
and balances.

Or, there’s bookmarking demon.
More affectionately known as BMD.

I’ve been using it for 18 months now, and it’s a gem.

Just the other night I created a new social bookmarking profile for over 100 sites, and it took me less than an hour. And yes, that’s
including all the CAPTCHA algorithms as well.

Hey, isn’t there a free alternative ?

Well of course there is.

Here’s a link to 2 sites that I have tried and recommend – both are free. You will still need to register for all your accounts, and it’s less automated than BMD, but you could get by without spending a dime with these services.
