Internet marketing is easy once you know how. Yeah, yeah, yeah – people complain to me all the time that is DIFFICULT. But I assure you, it’s NOT.

The problem is that some internet marketing techniques are more involved and more time consuming than others. And that’s where the problem lies. So today I want to talk about (perhaps) the easiest method of SEO that you can get: Writing and Publishing Your Own Articles.

- – -

BONUS DOWNLOAD: Free Article Writing Software for your PC. This software assists you to develop your article from top to tail in around 8 minutes. Once you’ve skilled up on the process of writing articles the easy way, you’ll never turn back. Download this for free.

- – -

Take search engine optimization (SEO is what the guru’s call it!) for example.

To become highly skilled at search engine optimization, you first need to learn what elements to change in your pages to make them rank high. Then you have to optimize each one of your pages before you even submit to the search engines. (This is something you can read about elsewhere on my blog !)

You’ll have to spend time doing keyword research to make sure you pick up traffic to your site that you want

Next, you submit to the search engines. Sometimes the search engines will index your site in a few hours. Sometimes it takes weeks, or even months. Of course this is a necessary process for you to free traffic, but it’s not the only way to do it.

Building backlinks is also a part of search engine optimization. It’s called “off-page optimization” and the SE’s recognize authority sites by the number of links that are pointing to it. (These are called in-bound links.) Even with software to do the job, you still have to do it manually. It may take weeks or even months to build up enough links to rank on the front page of search engine results.

I’ve heard so many people complain about internet marketing being a complete SCAM because their bank account has dried up with all the expenses that they’ve incurred from things people recommend, but don’t work ! That’s my warning to you – so be careful with what you do with your cash.

With article writing it’s different. You choose the keywords you want to use to write your articles. You create a list of things related to your topic. Create your resource box, (which contains a link back to your site of course !) write a short summary, submit, and you’re finished.

Now it may not seem that simple to you. After all, you may not be a writer. But you know how to write a grocery list, don’t you?

If you know how to write a grocery list, or a letter to a friend, then you know the basics of writing an article.

Submitting your article is even easier. Copy and paste, click submit, and it only takes 30 seconds.

That’s where Article Marketer will help you the most. Article Marketer is the number one article submission service on the internet.

They offer:

One click submission of your articles to over 67,000 publishers and over 5,000 article directories. (Try doing that in the social bookmarking realm and you’ll stop after you reach 50 directories … believe me, I’ve done it !

Massive backlinks gradually, over time. No need to submit to directories yourself.

Article submission automation. Just tell the system when you want the article to start posting, and the system takes care of the rest.

To help you with all of your article writing efforts, Article Marketer offers Article Marketer University: complete article training for free. You may also download the free 8 Minute Article Writer software to help you write articles faster and easier than ever before.

I’ve also been alerted to the fact that Article Marketer is raising its prices very soon. Get your subscription today and get in on the lowest price possible.

If, for whatever reason, you’re dissatisfied with worldwide syndication, search engine domination and massive backlinks, just cancel your subscription, and you will not be billed ever again.

I’ve been with them for over 2 years with Lifetime Membership, and it’s well worth it. For me, I never have to distribute articles manually, EVER AGAIN ! So check it out and see if it’s something that you can invest in.

In response to many people asking me, “How can I automatically submit my articles to article directories to get massive numbers of backlinks to my site”, I always tell them that I use this service:

http://www.surefireweb.com/recommends/ArticleMarketer.html

Article marketing, or “bum marketing” as they call it, is the process of submitting an article that you have written, or a substantially modified PLR Article, to an article directory, in order to get backlinks to your site. Alternatively you may include a cloaked affiliate link instead that you could cash in on.

** Why would you want backlinks ? **

Because incoming links from other sites increase your ranking in the search engines, so Now here are 3 good reasons to write and submit articles to article directories:

1. You get a ton of backlinks.

2. Webmasters pick up your article for news stories and use that on their website or in their newsletters

3. In the normal flow of information, people who read an article are usually interested in the topic, and if you are centred on a certain niche then you can pick up a lot of niche visitors to your site, or affiliate link.

Got the picture ?

To perform article submission manually, I’ve put up a huge set of article directories is here, if you’re game to spend the time to submit to them:
http://imagainstpp.com/Alternative_Article_Directories.html

I “got over” this manual method of submitting articles after my first 10 directory submissions.
It was PAINFUL to say the least.

In investigating the alternatives out there, I settled on buying the Lifetime Membership at Article Marketer:
http://www.surefireweb.com/recommends/ArticleMarketer.html

** Most people aren’t doing Article Marketing Correctly **

It’s true.

People think they can just submit their articles and they will get a ton of traffic.
At least that is what they are TOLD to believe.

That’s NOT TRUE.

The traffic doesn’t just magically appear on your site.
The successful marketers are the ones that have tested what works Vs what doesn’t work.

In my personal testing, I’ve found that the backlink to my site from an article directory is MORE VALUABLE than the traffic I get from the article. That is, to be honest, I haven’t got much TRAFFIC directly from the article directories, but I have got an increased PAGE RANK from the article directories — yes, even if there was “duplicate content” spread over thousands of directories with my article or link on it.

** How to do article marketing the RIGHT way **

There are just TWO things that you need to pay attention to when writing, or modifying, your article.

#1 Your Keywords
Make sure your article targets the keywords that you want to be recognised for in the search engines. Scatter these throughout the Article Title, Article Description, 3 or 4 times throughout the article itself, as well as in your Resource Box. Make sure you don’t overdo it, and stay below 4% of your article with these keywords or keyword phrases so that you don’t get penalised by the article directories OR the Search Engines for “keyword spamming” (Yes that is a real term !)

#2 Your Resource Box
This is the “About the Author” Section that is included at the end of the article, and this is the major focus of where you need to be careful, as this section will determine your page rank credibility.

- Get your keywords and understand what you want to be ranked for.
- You will need to learn how to create a link to the page you want credit for, in the form of:

<a href=”http://www.yoursitename.com/keyword-page.html”>Your Keywords Here</a>

Now let’s study this last bit closely. The first important factor is that you link to a page on your website that contains your keywords in the link itself. That is, your page should be something like “keyword-page.html”, something that can be picked up in the search engines for that term.

Second, your HTML Linking Text should also use the keywords that you’ve centred your article around, and in this case I’ve suggested “Your Keywords Here”. You should use your own keywords in that position and target them to meet your own website requirements.

Now this is where a lot of people stuff up big time and throw away the extra points for Search Engine Ranking based on these link text elements. If you can identify these two links and get them to line up with a page on your website then you will go a long way to getting increased page rank for your site.

Further to this, I should mention that your own website should follow all the good rules of keyword positioning on those pages that you are referring to in your article’s Resource Box. That is, your keywords should appear at in your Heading tags, Title of the Page, at least 3 or 4 times on the page itself, as well as in ALT Text in 2 pictures and/or as ALT text for tables and other objects on your page.

If you follow these simple guidelines and get it right the first time then you’ll save yourself re-inventing the wheel and will earn significantly more from the articles you write and distribute through the article directories.

Here’s the link to distribute your articles at the cheapest rate available on the internet:
