Hi everyone

I am totally shocked !

Two weeks ago I launched my site www.dvd-distributor.com and started to perform some organic keyword placement for the site via web 2.0 style logs etc (something I mentioned in a related post here about web 2.0 marketing tactics.)

Well if you didn’t believe me then, I’d urge you to take another look now. (picture is viewable below)

Below is a screen shot of the Google Rankings for the term I was targeting: Kunaki DVD.

Right up the top #1 is the blog post about the site and #3 the site itself, and you’ll see sandwiched in between is the kunaki site itself at #2.

Now I know that these terms are quite competitive, and perhaps will change over the course of the next few days or hours, but I wanted to bring to your attention that if you are looking for free traffic, then you really need to understand how the Search Engines work.

Here’s a FREE Tip: It’s all about keywords. If you can master just one set of keywords, then your income and earning potential is unlimited. (So long as that keyword niche is a profitable one, right ?)

The site I am teaching you about here will help you sell cds online. Incidentally, if you want to go ahead and purchase the script to sell your cds online then it is readily available and you can set that up as an automated income stream.

Now listen up, what I’ve just written on the line above is another way of capitalising on keywords, and this time I’ve targeted the keywords “sell cds online” as well as “sell your cds online”.

Got the picture ?

And then, it’s about using those keywords effectively around the internet on web 2.0 sites (and perhaps other places to get good rankings) to generate traffic.

Other places I’m using these keywords: tags. I’m not giving anything else away. Well not yet anyway, I might have some competition !

Wow, has the week gone so quickly ?

Here in the back office I’ve been reading as much information about traffic building and increasing your sites ranking that I’ve nearly sent myself broke ! If you missed my report last week on how to get backlinks quickly, then I’d urge you to re-read that before absorbing this information on social bookmarking.

This week I spent $100 on “secrets” of how to use PPC the “cheap way”. I’ll share with you the findings of that material in the next few weeks – as I’m currently experimenting with the strategies to see if they work, but for today I really wanted to show you how to use Social Bookmarkiing sites to help you improve your sites page rank.

* Social Bookmarking – What is It ? *

Firstly, let’s cast our minds back a few years. Remember when you’d see a link on a page that said “Bookmark this site” ?
That was a the way of making sure that people would come back to your site once they’ve left it, by way of storing a bookmark on their local PC.

Now let’s fast forward to the 21st century and web 2.0 interactivity.

These days you can place a bookmark on what’s called a “Social Bookmarking site” that will store your link and explanation of the site you are bookmarking on a web page. Whenever you want to view your stored bookmarks, just call up that page from the internet and jump directly to those results.

For example (and these are just a few…)
- digg.com
- del.icio.us
- furl.com
- fleck
- … it’s an endless list !

If you take a look at the bottom of my blog page then you’d see the list of Social bookmarking sites for people to add a blog post into their bookmark list.

It’s very easy to do.
Now here’s the juicy part…
The Search Engines LOVE these sites.

This is because the social bookmarking site is always creating new and unique links to other sites as people add more and more bookmarks to their profile.

This means that links from Social bookmarking sites are typically receiving links with high page rank. This means faster indexing in the search engines, increased “organic” traffic, and increased page rank.

BUT, here’s where the problem lies…
It’s fine to submit to just one site, but it’s better to receive more incoming links from various sources to build up your inbound links.
The best way to do this is to join a number of social bookmarking sites, and submit multiple links.

There are, however, fast ways of doing multiple submissions – although you’re going to need to create your own account on each social bookmark site prior to doing this. My favourite multiple bookmark submitter is Only Wire: http://www.onlywire.com/

Just create your account and then follow the rules inside the site to join the other social bookmark sites. It stores your username and password within Only Wire so that it automates your submissions, instantly. This can take around an hour or so to achieve, but once done, the rest is automated!

Other sites are: Social Marker: http://www.socialmarker.com and Backflip: http://www.backflip.com/ and Social Poster: http://socialposter.com/

Now, to actually bookmark a site using Only Wire, you need to first drag a link from within the site to your “Links” section within your browser. Then when you are on your blog, or on a site that you wish to bookmark, just click on the link you dragged up and it will automatically send your bookmark to your selected sites.

Now, this is important …
If you want to use social bookmarks to increase your page rank then you’re going to need to do one important step: Your Selection of Keywords needs to match your site !

It’s not only your LINK that you want to bookmark, but it’s your KEYWORDS that you are aiming to achieve a higher page rank for that need to match your selection.

So if your site is about dogs, and you sell dog collars, then you should bookmark your site as “Dog Collars” rather than “Dog blankets”.
I hope you get what I mean here. The more specific you are about the use of your titles and keywords, the better you will be placed for those keywords.

After all, people will enter search terms that they are looking for, and it’s these keywords that you will want to target to attract the right visitors to your site.

Next week we’ll look at all the sneaky tricks about Pay Per Click and I’ll divulge free of charge all the information that I’ve read. I won’t tell you where it’s from, but hopefully I’ll give you a little more insight about how to set up PPC campaigns so that you can start winning back some funds from affiliate sales, if you’re game to try it out!

Take care and God Bless,

Brad Smith

Hi everyone

I’ve been having a lot of FUN evaluating SEO software, and reading as much as I can handle over the last few weeks. I want to make sure that the information that I provide my readers is genuine, and not just a load of baloney.

Last week I bought a $67 product that guaranteed me that I’d have all the Google loopholes nailed down and that I’d be raking in cash hand over fist within days. Well, to say the least it was a fantastic sales letter however it failed to deliver in many ways. So I won’t be recommending that (GPP is the acronym of the ebook for those in the know …) – perhaps you purchased the same thing ? If so, go get your money back, and read the first few lessons from my blog, below.

In the meantime I have purchased two other products and I am truly impressed with these.

The first product is designed to help you easily get backlinks to your website. If you’ve read any SEO material, then you’d know that there are two main factors to help your site rank well in the Search Engines:

1. On page optimisation – these are the terms relating to your main keywords, and they should be located all over your page, embedded in your URL’s, embedded in your pictures, made up in bold print on your pages, in your H1 tags, in your page title, and mentioned casually in your page text.

2. Off page optimisation – these are generally factors beyond your control, but with a little help here and there you can get your site indexed quite quickly for your nominated search terms, as long as you choose non-competitive search terms or keywords.

Product number 1: Comment Hut

When I got my hands on this software I felt my dreams were finally met !

Now the whole point about SEO is getting sites with high page rank to link back to you. This was demonstrated extremely well in Brad Callen’s SEO Elite. I initially purchased this 2 years ago when it came out, and it totally wowed me with the way search engines work.

Now, along the same principles, Comment Hut takes you by the hand and does things a lot faster for you than SEO Elite, making the job of backlink submission a lot easier. The way it works is that it finds blogs with high page ranking. Not only tha, it screens through all the blog listings that appear and returns only those blogs that you may actually post to. BUT, this is a manual submission, not automated. The reason for this is that the developers did not want to release another version of Blog Link Generator – the software that is blamed for Blog SPAM.

Get it ?

Comment Hut will identify blogs of high page rank, allow you to post comments, and then link back to your site. But this is a manual submission to help you avoid being labeled as a SPAMMER.

It searches for blogs of the type: Word Press, DruPal,Live Journal, TypePad, Squidoo and Hub Pages. With just the double click of a mouse, you enter a relative comment on the blog, and link back to your site. It is one of the coooolest programs I’ve come across in a long time !

Product Number 2: Long Tail Secrets

Secondly, Long Tail Secrets is an ebook, not software, about how to identify the TAIL keywords, those keywords that around 50% of people are searching for, but aren’t included in the major search results.

Jason lays out very practical and realistic material, and explains things very clearly. Even advanced marketers like myself will have a great time reading this. It is not a repeat of “Web 2.0 Sites revealed” PLR junk, but very concise work. Jason reveals a lot more than just theory, with actual working examples and how to go about doing it as well.

If you’re into reading this weekend, rather than getting into software, then understanding the long tail method of getting backlinks to your website is vital !

Two products that I didn’t purchase yet… due to time constraints this week are:

Product Number 3: 30 Minute Backlinks

From the rave reviews I’ve read, some from personal friends, this is a very powerful method of getting some high dominating sites to link to your site. Michelle takes you by the hand and describes how you can build a massive set of high PR backlinks to your site, based around the keywords that you recommend.

If it works as successfully as it says, then 30 Minute Backlinks would be the way to go if you are into creating small software titles.

And finally … I am evaluating the demo version of this, and so far so good !

Product Number 4: RSS Submitter

I’ve brought this up in the Warrior Forum recently, and it’s a topic that has gained momentum. Senior Warriors are saying that this software has a lot of credibility, and that they use it all the time to submit their RSS Feeds from their blogs, or clients blogs, to get good page rank.

It’s perhaps the fastest way of getting your domain out there on the net, and it’s a very cheap investment for what it can do for you.

Now each of these products today target different ways of getting traffic to your site, and you would be crazy to want to try and use all four at once.

What I would suggest is that you take a look at just one product and see if it lines up with your interests. If it does, then try it out!

Remember to measure just how much affect it’s having on your website traffic, and check out your stat.

That’s it for today. I’m off to have fun with my new toys.

All the best and God Bless,

Brad Smith
