There’s a lot of hype and bother about video marketing and you could see that it’s been gathering momentum for ages now. So I thought I’d take the time to determine if there’s anything in it. You’ll see many claims that video marketing can do wonders for your SEO rankings if you’re able to include your keyword phrases with the video submission, with the promise that untold thousands of visitors will suddenly pounce on your website as  a result.

Let me take this one step further …

Instead of just looking at video distribution, let’s look at the so-called Article to Video creation as part of the video distribution strategy. There are a lot of services that have sprung up over recent months that all sort of do the same thing — or do they ?

Let’s take a look at the Article to Video Creation Tools.

I’ve come across three services (I guess there are tons more out there!) that can do this for you -

#1.  Article Video Robot

Article to Video creation just became FUN!

With Article Video Robot you have the ability to churn any article into a full blown video while you’re online within minutes.

Are you an author at EzineArticles ? (They make this look so simple, and it is!) If so, take the URL of your article from EzineArticles and paste it into the box, and WOO HOO. Your article has been converted into Video format, ready to download or to distribute around the internet.

Once created, you can Edit the file, online, and replace things such as the type of voiceover (male/female), background music, background picture, etc. Then once you convert the video again it is ready for distribution … and all this takes only just a few minutes of your time.

That’s great news if you are a busy internet marketer !

But is it really worth it?

You’ve got two options to take up : the $47/month plan or the $97/month plan. But before you commit to any  plan, you can access the full working version to see just exactly how it works. That left me with no questions about how easy it was to use – it’s dead simple. The higher priced option also included the ability to distribute your articles around the internet to the multiple video sharing sites, making this the ultimate distribution centre for your needs.

#2. Instant Video Articles

This PC Desktop application Instant Video Articles has got to be one of the simplest to use … but not exactly sure if it’s the thing that you want to trust completely.

Sure, it’s cheap at just $27 – so affordable that anyone can snap it up and start to crank out article driven videos at the push of a button. As it rests on your PC you’re able to fire it up at any time without the need for an internet connection. In fact, everything you need is at the push of a few buttons – right at your fingertips – because Calvin is also including some themed background music for your video creation experience.

So what’s the risk ?

Well the down side is that PC applications go out of date easily. I’m not talking about software patches (like Microsoft vulnerabilities), but I’m speaking more about the look and feel of the video output itself. With the video production part of the article conversion software comes a standard voice, or two, which – to internet lovers – can become a tad boring.

I consider this to be “starter level” software to convert your articles to video because in time I think you will get bored with it, and once you start video marketing you will want to do things more online and have more editable choices up your sleeve.

But the upshot is that this is a one time fee and you don’t have to be a guru to run it from your own PC.

#3.Article to SWF

The Article to SWF software is a dedicated PC Software package that does a similar job to Instant Video Articles though is somewhat more expensive at $121.

Articles 2 Video is a windows desktop software that runs right on your PC. It creates flash video (swf) from articles. Yes, video with audio and animation. You can put the SWF video on your website, upload it to video sharing sites, do whatever you want. The most amazing thing is that  all you need do is: Fill in the article, click several buttons, then click “Create” button. Done.

No experience needed, no expensive flash software needed, anyone can do it.

Article To SWF comes with a swf to video converter. Load the SWF file, select the conversion format (avi or mpg, codec, etc.), click a button and it’s converts the video file to your selection of AVI or MPEG file. Then you can easily upload it to video sharing sites.

Yes it is a one-time fee, but with a price tag much greater than the former product I think it’s best left sitting there for now.

You would normally pay top dollars in this industry to get royalty free music for your website, but this is available for whatever price you would like to afford.

Video Distribution Software

You would likely be aware of the many and various article distribution services and products that are available. Let’s take article distribution to a whole new level with video distribution services and software. The idea behind this is the same as article marketing – except your target audience is for people who prefer to  WATCH video rather than READ articles. This has massive implications: for instance, YouTube is the second largest Search Engine in the world – and who owns YouTube ? …. Google!

Further, over 50% of internet traffic is related to streaming video – not articles. So if you’re a marketer that wants a sense of direction, then jumping on the video distribution bandwagon is a no-brainer. Got it ?

Warning: TubeMogul doesn’t like affiliate promotions. And as such they have banned numerous accounts due to this rule. So if you’re planning to distribute videos with them you will need to keep them extremely informational or face their execution of judgement.

With the video you can include a description and a link back to your site so that when the video is distributed to the other video sharing sites you will gain some instant link juice back to the site where you want it to end up.

There is also a paid section for people who want to do more with their account, and I simply love the analytics that they have built into the system – which shows you simply how far and wide your video has been watched.

Ok, now we’re talking serious business here, because Traffic Geyser is not only distributing your video to video sharing sites, it’s also distributing to many other social sites around the world. You are guaranteed almost instant traffic to your website or product (if your video is done properly!) by using this service.

It distributes videos to over 100 Social Sites and it builds blogs and social sites for you within minutes. It helps you get top search engine rankings, traffic, rankings and leads

Recently there was a new product launch that educates you about Mobile Marketing.

This kid claims that Mobile Marketing is five times bigger than the internet … I don’t agree.

In fact, this figure is wildly inaccurate because he’s basing the number of mobile users worldwide to the number of people with an internet connection. Now he claims that there are five billion mobile users on the planet – well that’s a fairly big figure compared to the fact that there are less than seven billion people on the planet. In contrast, less than half the world’s population are in third world countries without access to mobile network services.

Further, of the “suggested” five billion mobile users, only a portion of these have handsets that are capable of receiving advertisements (primarily the Android and iPhone markets – the smart phones). This means that there is a much smaller pool than he’s talking about.

For a start he’s got his facts wrong – can we trust the rest of the rest of what he has to say or offer ?

OK, despite his efforts to set the record straight he does make a few good points.

• The opportunity for marketing to mobile users is virtually untapped
• The growth rate of smart phones is massive
• The ability to match the customer demographic to product potential is extremely high
• Mobile CPA offers can provide quick reward for little effort
• Low cost advertising brings the cost down
• Based on his experience, his report seems otherwise credible

So while I don’t totally agree with his stats, I certainly can agree that he will educate you to make the most of  Mobile Marketing.
