Archive for March, 2008
We’ve been running Easter JV for the last 6 days now, and it’s been a fantastic learning experience.
Listen, I’ve got some interesting facts to share.
This year we asked all contributors to provide just up to ten people to
the site in order to maintain their gift inside the download area.
Every second day we would drop out the contributors that didn’t meet the target – but by day 6, today, we found that we’d lost around half the gifts in the download area.
What is the cause of this ?
This is because people don’t know how to target traffic sources and bring people to the site.
And yet, there are people like Socrates, that has sent almost DOUBLE the amount of traffic of the next highest referrer to the event.
How does he do that ?
Beats me !
I’m going to ask him where he is finding those people …
As a result of Easter JV 2008, I’ve uncovered the fact that :
>>> Most Internet Marketers Have Trouble Getting Traffic To Their Website — or any website !
Period.
I’d go so far as to say that targeted traffic is the #1 issue facing marketers today. And that’s a huge issue — especially if you want to build your own niche websites.
It MEANS that most people will FAIL online.
I’ll say it again, MOST PEOPLE WILL FAIL ONLINE because they don’t know how to get traffic to their website.
And that’s what brings me to the topic of traffic generation.
*** Ebook Review: Mark Hultgren’s Traffic Transformer **
I’ve just finished reading through the ebook put out by Mark Hultgren, and here’s a preview link:
http://www.surefireweb.com/recommends/TrafficGenerator
Now Mark has set out to get you MOVING in the traffic world. He
reveals the web 2.0 tactics that will get your site indexed quickly, as
well as rank you well in the search engines.
HOWEVER, I warn you that his ebook is really a MOTIVATIONAL PIECE.
If you’re planning to read it and let the good knowledge sit on the shelf, then you’re not going to get ANYTHING out of it. So I wouldn’t bother ordering it if that’s the case.
But if you’re a reall mover and shaker and would like to take IMMEDIATE ACTION then you’ll be ready to get in and start taking the traffic today.
That will place your website on steroids – and you’ll wonder why you left it so long to get into the race.
LOL

In response to many people asking me, “How can I automatically submit my articles to article directories to get massive numbers of backlinks to my site”, I always tell them that I use this service:
http://www.surefireweb.com/recommends/ArticleMarketer.html
Article marketing, or “bum marketing” as they call it, is the process of submitting an article that you have written, or a substantially modified PLR Article, to an article directory, in order to get backlinks to your site. Alternatively you may include a cloaked affiliate link instead that you could cash in on.
** Why would you want backlinks ? **
Because incoming links from other sites increase your ranking in the search engines, so Now here are 3 good reasons to write and submit articles to article directories:
1. You get a ton of backlinks.
2. Webmasters pick up your article for news stories and use that on their website or in their newsletters
3. In the normal flow of information, people who read an article are usually interested in the topic, and if you are centred on a certain niche then you can pick up a lot of niche visitors to your site, or affiliate link.
Got the picture ?
To perform article submission manually, I’ve put up a huge set of article directories is here, if you’re game to spend the time to submit to them:
http://imagainstpp.com/Alternative_Article_Directories.html
I “got over” this manual method of submitting articles after my first 10 directory submissions.
It was PAINFUL to say the least.
In investigating the alternatives out there, I settled on buying the Lifetime Membership at Article Marketer:
http://www.surefireweb.com/recommends/ArticleMarketer.html
** Most people aren’t doing Article Marketing Correctly **
It’s true.
People think they can just submit their articles and they will get a ton of traffic.
At least that is what they are TOLD to believe.
That’s NOT TRUE.
The traffic doesn’t just magically appear on your site.
The successful marketers are the ones that have tested what works Vs what doesn’t work.
In my personal testing, I’ve found that the backlink to my site from an article directory is MORE VALUABLE than the traffic I get from the article. That is, to be honest, I haven’t got much TRAFFIC directly from the article directories, but I have got an increased PAGE RANK from the article directories — yes, even if there was “duplicate content” spread over thousands of directories with my article or link on it.
** How to do article marketing the RIGHT way **
There are just TWO things that you need to pay attention to when writing, or modifying, your article.
#1 Your Keywords
Make sure your article targets the keywords that you want to be recognised for in the search engines. Scatter these throughout the Article Title, Article Description, 3 or 4 times throughout the article itself, as well as in your Resource Box. Make sure you don’t overdo it, and stay below 4% of your article with these keywords or keyword phrases so that you don’t get penalised by the article directories OR the Search Engines for “keyword spamming” (Yes that is a real term !)
#2 Your Resource Box
This is the “About the Author” Section that is included at the end of the article, and this is the major focus of where you need to be careful, as this section will determine your page rank credibility.
- Get your keywords and understand what you want to be ranked for.
- You will need to learn how to create a link to the page you want credit for, in the form of:
<a href=”http://www.yoursitename.com/keyword-page.html”>Your Keywords Here</a>
Now let’s study this last bit closely. The first important factor is that you link to a page on your website that contains your keywords in the link itself. That is, your page should be something like “keyword-page.html”, something that can be picked up in the search engines for that term.
Second, your HTML Linking Text should also use the keywords that you’ve centred your article around, and in this case I’ve suggested “Your Keywords Here”. You should use your own keywords in that position and target them to meet your own website requirements.
Now this is where a lot of people stuff up big time and throw away the extra points for Search Engine Ranking based on these link text elements. If you can identify these two links and get them to line up with a page on your website then you will go a long way to getting increased page rank for your site.
Further to this, I should mention that your own website should follow all the good rules of keyword positioning on those pages that you are referring to in your article’s Resource Box. That is, your keywords should appear at in your Heading tags, Title of the Page, at least 3 or 4 times on the page itself, as well as in ALT Text in 2 pictures and/or as ALT text for tables and other objects on your page.
If you follow these simple guidelines and get it right the first time then you’ll save yourself re-inventing the wheel and will earn significantly more from the articles you write and distribute through the article directories.

“Where Can I Get More PLR ?”
This is the question that people have been asking me lately.
Perhaps it’s because of Doug’s recent PLR Giveaway.
Or perhaps it’s because people realise the need for fresh articles.
Or perhaps it’s because it’s the latest craze ?!
Whatever it is, there seems to be a huge demand for PLR products.
** What the Heck is PLR **
“OK Brad, What the heck is PLR ?”
Sorry to talk in acronyms all the time.
I work for a telco, why else would I use normal words ?
PLR = Private Label Rights
That is, these are products that you can adopt as your own, modify the content, and use or sell as you wish. Sometimes the PLR products come with restrictions, for instance you might not be able to sell or give away the raw source files. If so, it will be clearly stated when you purchase.
** Why People Fail With PLR **
The major BENEFIT of accessing PLR is to create unique products from the source files, add your own unique twist or flavour to them, and then market the product with a Unique Selling Point (USP)
This makes YOUR Private Label Product stand out from the crowd.
But would you believe that 90% of people DON’T BOTHER doing that one simple step ?
And what happens then ?
Well they get burned for duplicate content.
Or there product looks “too familiar”.
Or you see it end up at eBay for $0.01 …
Go figure !
So … if you’re in the market for PLR products I urge you to take the time to make them YOUR OWN.
Here’s two QUALITY PLR Products that I would encourage you to take a look at:
** PLR Videos **

If you could access 300+ articles a month, on just about any niche topic, how much would you pay ?
How does Six Cents Per Article sound ?
Well perhaps you won’t use all 300 articles, but you can still collect them and keep them for a rainy day.
Well what if you had to get a ghost writer to write for you ?
I have paid $200 for a 30 page ebook – that’s $6.67 PER PAGE.
That’s 100 times as much as what you can get here, each month.
If you’re a BLOGGER and want to post fresh new articles each month, then I’d encourage you to take a look at Monthly PLR:
